 Simply Wood is a division of Litchfield & Co. Ltd which has been in the demolition industry and wood recycling in the lower mainland of British Columbia since the 1950’s. By de-constructing projects that are normally slated for demolition we have been able to recycle loads of material that would otherwise end up in landfills.
Our old growth Douglas Fir Wood products are made from 100% reclaimed wood, which mostly comes from houses, shipyards, saw mills, warehouses, grain elevators, etc. that were built in British Columbia around the turn of the century. We never use new wood in the manufacturing of our products and always make every effort to conserve our environment. We specialize in recycling wood.
Our reclaimed timbers and recycled wood are remarkable pieces - whether used cosmetically or structurally, they give your home an authentic heritage charm along with an incredible sense of history.
We begin the process by carefully dismantling our beams and preparing the lumber to be shipped to our mill. Once there it is de-nailed, re-sawn and prepared for the end product, whether it is flooring, mantles, molding, or stair treads as just an example of the many uses for this wonderful, old growth wood. |
